Résumé
For this article Ennami visited during June-September 1968 private Ibāḍī libraries and collections in the Jabal Nafūsa, at Jerba and in Mīzāb. In the Jabal Nafūsa there were three main collections: those of Yūsuf b. Aḥmad al-Bārūnī in Kābāw (the collection of Yūsuf b. Aḥm. al-Bārūnī seems to be a part of what was left of the library of his grandfather, the famous scholar ʿAbdl. b. Yaḥyà al-Bārūnī, which was destroyed and scattered during the civil war in the Jabal Nafūsa (1920-1922). It is likely that another collection of MSS from the same library is in the possession of Ṭāriq al-Bārūnī, the former Minister of Industry in the Libyan Cabinet), of Muḥ. al-Bārūnī in Jādū, and of ʿAlī b. Mīlūd al-Marsāwanī of Marsāwan (al-Ḥamrān), Ruḥaybāt, Jabal Nafūsa, who inherited a valuable collection of MSS from his grandfather Muḥ. b. ʿĪsà b. Saʿīd al-Marsāwanī. Ennami also met other individuals who possessed MSS, among whom ʿUmar Mallīw, Qāḍī of Jādū, Ayyūb b. Muḥ. al-Ayyūbī of Jannāwun, Jādū, and Ṣāliḥ al-Maqsī of Jādū. In Jerba the three main libraries were: the library of Sālim b. Yaʿqūb in Ghīzen, the library of the Bārūnī family in al-Ḥashshān (al-Khizāna al-Bārūniyya), which contains not less than 500 MSS more than 120 of them by Ibāḍī authors, and the library of the al-Baʿtūr family in Wālagh, where the collection was in disorder and folios and quires of MSS were confused. Ennami also visited the libraries of Mīzāb (see: Fihris Makhṭūṭāt; Schacht 1956).
