Résumé

The political theory of Ibadhiya differs from the other islamic sects due to its getting through four different stages along history. These stages has begun with the establishment of Rustemi State which is regarded as the golden age of Ibadhis, and ends with their surrender to a non-Ibadhi
government’s rule. Through this process, few has changed in terms of the principles, the essence and the long term purposes of the imamate theory. Ibadhis rather changed their tactics and tools as the community go under various conditions.
