When Fathi Ben Khalifa was a small boy, he saw Moammar Gaddafi announce the beginning of his so-called “cultural revolution.” It happened in 1973, a hundred metres away from his house in Zuwara, and just in the middle of the grey central square which has been known as Piazza since the Italian occupation.
